TMT - Tapping and Measuring Technology is a worldwide leader in the supply of cast house equipment and measurement technology for the iron and steel industry. To strengthen our R&D team in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a

R&D Engineer (m/f)

Your challenge

  • Understand our customers steel and ironmaking processes and develop ideas and technologies to make those processes more effective
  • Develop new products for blast furnaces and ferroalloy furnaces including
    • the development of new measuring technology methods and sensors
    • the development of measuring data processing algorithms
    • the application of signal processing methods to improve data quality and statistical methods to evaluate the usefulness of the harvested data
    • the design and implementation of process models
    • the collection of metallurgical process knowledge and field feedback to support our customers
  • Support the technical office in matters related to your technical expertise, such as measuring technology, project specific solutions, etc.
  • Support the patent and the publication activities within TMT
  • Assure the project management of the R&D activities
  • Contribute to the future orientation of TMT.

Your profile

  • Minimum Master of Science in a function related field (Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Physics or similar)
  • Practical experience in the realisation of prototypes and/or programming
  • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills in German and French are considered as an asset
  • High degree of initiative and self-responsibility and able to work in a professional and independent manner.
