INTERNSHIP OR THESIS FOR BACHELOR STUDENT (M/W) - DESIGN OF A STAVE DISMANTLING ARM

We are currently proposing a Bachelor thesis of about 3-6 months on the following subject:

The work consists in a 3D modelling and dimensioning of a device used to dismantle cooling elements in a blast furnace.

Main topics:

  • Familiarise with Creo Parametric 2.0 (Training)
  • Built 3D models of the dismantling arms
  • Verify the structural stability of the arm and the resistance of the equipment on which the arm is fixed on.
  • Generate 2D Drawings and material lists
  • Synthesis

Your profile:

  • You are a Bachelor student in mechanical engineering
  • You are fluent in English; German and/or French as additional languages are an advantage
  • You have basic knowledge in using a 3D solid modelling software
  • You should have a high degree of initiative and responsibility and willingness to fully invest yourself in the assigned projects
  • You are able to work in a professional and independent manner and to quickly integrate yourself in a dynamic multinational team.
